1 Corinthians 6:11

Some of you were such, but you were washed. But you were sanctified. But you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and in the Spirit of our God. – 1 Corinthians 6:11

1 Corinthians 6:11

Spiritual Thought

Washed. Sanctified. Justified. Just say these to yourself over and over. Hallelujah!

Before we heard the gospel of Christ, we had a past – an ugly past that was earmarked for ugly consequences. We lived our dastardly lives outside the design parameters of the Most-High, and we earned what was coming to us. But good news found us in the middle of a dry spell, and we were rescued.
You were washed – cleansed by the precious blood of the Messiah, Jesus Christ. You were washed from the filth of the old life and made clean for the new in Christ Jesus.

Definition of Pastor

You were sanctified – separated from the contamination of the old environment. You are now set apart in the presence of God, poised to do what pleases Him alone.

You were justified – made right not by your deeds or worthiness, but by the deeds and worthiness of our Lord and Savior. Now all your wrongdoings and guilt have been rectified, and the old record is rendered worthless before God.

In the name and character of the Lord Jesus, you are now esteemed in God’s eyes. And all this has been made possible by the instrumentality of the Spirit of God, who is able to make all of God’s plans a living, breathing reality.

So, enjoy your present. Pun intended.

I declare that by the sanctification and washing in the name of Jesus and by the Spirit of God, my son is loosed from the destructive influence of drugs. He is sanctified for the work of God and to please God alone! Amen!
