Sharing is caring!

As we get to a close of the year, we usually take stock of how the previous months have been and what we have achieved so far.

However, this year, we have had a global situation that has thrown many people off course in their goals and desires. With all this happening, one is left to wonder how the rest of the year will turn out.

Welcome to the Woman of God site. We hope these prayer points will bless you and give you some encouragement for this month.

Judging by the circumstances in the world, we can only turn to God for the hope and encouragement we need. God is a compassionate Father who wants us to live the abundant life Christ came to give us.

Prayer Points For The Month Of October

1. Trust in God

trust god

When faced with uncertain times, we are to put our trust in God because He knows how things will turn out in the world and in our lives. When we keep our eyes on the Lord, we shift our focus from our problems to Him, and this strengthens us to face each day.

Proverbs 3:5 says that we should trust in God with all our hearts, and not lean on our understanding.

Our human minds cannot come up with solutions that can help us stay afloat when things are uncertain and unpredictable.

Pray that God will help you focus on Him only instead of your circumstances. Ask for a heart that trusts in Him always and does not waver.

Ask God to help you see your life through His eyes and show you the plans He has for your life. He knows what your life will look like today and in the future.

2. Let Go Of Fear

dont fear

Fear can take over you at any time, and that is why we should guard our hearts against it.

The Bible tells us that fear is a spirit.

2 Timothy 1:7 says, “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.”

We can cast it out of our hearts and experience the power in us to overcome life’s challenges. If you are experiencing fear today because of one situation or another, you can pray and seek God’s help.

Pray that God will help you eliminate fear from your heart and show you strategies to do so. You can mention the fears in your heart and renounce each of them and choose to act in faith.

Ask God to reveal the source of your fears so that you can start addressing them. Pray for God to give you a bold heart that acts in courage despite any fears. We have to learn how to make a move even when we have fear in our hearts.

3. God’s Direction

gods direction

Many times we need God’s direction so that we can find ourselves on the right path in life.

Sometimes we get confused when we have many options and don’t know which one to choose. God removes the confusion in our minds and shows us which way to go or which opportunities to take.

Psalm 17:5 says, “Uphold my steps in Your paths, That my footsteps may not slip.”

This means that we can trust God to order our steps in the right direction.

Pray for God’s guidance every day so that you will remain in His will. Ask God to order your steps along the right path and help you not to deviate from it. God will always show you which way to go.

Pray and ask God to lead you in the right direction by His Word which is a light for your path and a lamp for your feet.

As you read the Bible, ask God to speak to you through His Word, and show you the way.

4. Divine Ideas

divine ideas

Considering the times we live in, we need divine ideas on how to navigate life going forward. The way we have been living life has changed and we need to adjust and find a new normal.

This requires that we turn to God to show us new ways of living and working so that we will make it as the world changes. Change is inevitable, and the best thing we can do is adapt to it.

The only one who doesn’t change is Jesus Christ, and we can turn to Him to show us how to navigate change.

“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever” Hebrews 13:8

Pray for divine ideas to help you in your life, business, family, community, etc.

Ask God to show you new strategies that will help you adapt to the changes in the world today. God’s divine ideas will always work for you if you work with them.

5. Provision

gods provision

We always need God’s provision for our daily lives and He has promised to provide for all our needs.

When we are not doing well financially, we can always lift up a prayer to God to help us with anything that we lack.

Psalm 23:1 says, “The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.”

God makes sure that we have everything we need to make it in this life. He provides us with what we need to do the work He has called us to do.

Pray for provision for every area of your life, and all the things you need for your daily affairs.

God wants you to have everything and lack nothing of value. He is your Father and wants to ensure that you are not living in a way that does not bring Him glory.

Conclusion

As you pray guided by the above prayer points, bring your specific needs before God so that He can address them.

As we come closer to the end of the year, we always want to feel that we have accomplished most of our goals and plans.

If you find that you have not achieved many things, take heart and trust God to redeem time for you and show you how to make adjustments in your life. As long as you keep your eyes on God, you will never go wrong in life.
