A Prayer For Tuesday

Sharing is caring!

Lord God, thank you for opening my eyes this morning to a new day.

Thank you for getting me through the trials of yesterday, so that I could start the week off right.

Luke 1:78 Bible Verse

Through the tender mercy of our God, With which the Dayspring from on high has visited us; Luke 1:78

I pray that now, as I head into Tuesday, you would continue to bless me and empower me to be a good steward of all that you’ve given me.

I ask that you would fill me with your peace that transcends understanding.

Help me to know that wherever I go, you are with me. You are the God of the good days, the bad days, and everything in between.

And so I give all praise to you, for you’ve given me a joy that does not depend on my circumstances.

Father, the day ahead seems daunting, but I know that nothing is impossible for you.

One day is like a thousand years to you in light of eternity.

Psalm 90:4 Bible Verse

For a thousand years in your sight are just like yesterday when it is past, like a watch in the night. Psalm 90:4

So help me not to waste this day, but to make the most of it.

Help me not to spend my time wishing I was somewhere else, but to be grateful for where you’ve put me.

You have put me right where I am for a reason; so help me to glorify you in it.

Lord, I pray that even as I look with anticipation towards the end of the week, you would help me to find enjoyment on this ordinary Tuesday. Even in the mundane, you are ever-present.

Help me to find new ways to honor you and new opportunities to serve your people.

Keep me Kingdom-minded, grounded in your truth, and encouraged by all your promises.

It may seem like just another dull Tuesday, but Father, I know you are doing great things.

You are moving in this world and opening doors in my life. So help me to get excited about what you’re doing, even if I don’t understand it yet.

Help me to dream big and to be a willing participant in your bigger plan for all of humanity.

As I go through this day and the rest of the week, don’t let me buy into the negativity of this world.

There is so much going on in the world today, but God, you are in control of it all. You are turning what the enemy has meant for evil into good.

So let me be joyful, because of the hope I have in Christ. Help me to shine my light before men, that they might see you and give glory to you.

More than anything, Father God, help me to remain steadfast under trial. Help me to be persistent in prayer. Help me to be a person of faith, someone after your own heart.

Help me to make the best use of my time so that after all is said and done, you will finally say to me, “Well done, my good and faithful servant.”

All of this I pray in Jesus’ name. Amen.
