Be Someone’s Angel

Sharing is caring!

God wants to use ordinary Christians to do extraordinary things!

God uses us to reach others in various ways. One such way is through events we have gone through where we can take our experience(s) from that event and share with someone that may be going through the same thing.

Be Someone’s Angel

How Can I Help Someone Else?

“And our hope for you is firm, because we know that just as you share in our sufferings, so also you share in our comfort.” 2 Corinthians 1:7

God gives us comfort when we are suffering so we can help others when they are suffering.

Walking with someone through a time of suffering allows you to share your own wisdom from experiencing the same thing.

Whether it be through a life-altering event in your life or personal tragedy, you are equipped with the compassion and experience to be able to help someone else.

Suffering takes on varying degrees, and the Bible speaks on what role we can play in sharing God’s mercy with others amidst their own season of suffering.

“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves received from God. For just as we share abundantly in the sufferings of Christ, so also our comfort abounds through Christ.” 2 Corinthians 1:3-6

“Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful.” Luke 6:36

Experience allows us to be sympathetic to others because we have experienced suffering in similar ways.

When someone is going through a time of suffering, their tempers may be short, words may be harsh, and they do not want anyone around.

We know what that is like because we may have been the same way and we understand they are in a place of pain.

Jesus did not abandon you, nor will He abandon the one you help. He will equip you to help them.

Reach Out

When you see or know someone that is suffering, reach out to them. Allow God to use you to help them.

Let them know you are there and you love them and believe in them.

Most importantly, let them know God dearly loves them and will not forsake them.

Ask God to help them and comfort them during their suffering.

Lastly, ask God to use you and to help you see what that person’s needs are.

Not only will He comfort and help that person, He will bless you for the mercy and love you have shown that person.

For you can be someone’s angel in a difficult time.
