It’s the desire of every human being to become a better person. God has put that desire in us.
Self improvement has resulted in the growth of the multi-billion self-help industry.
There are many courses, videos, podcasts, books and forums and you would be spoiled for choice. God’s intent is for us to improve ourselves with his help, not on our own.
There are 3 simple ways that you can improve yourself with the help of God.
1. Conform Your Thoughts To God’s.
When you think like God does, you see life from his perspective and you can change your life to reflect his will.
Renewing your mind with the word of God aligns your thoughts with God’s.
Read books by Christian authors who have a lot of biblical wisdom to share with you.
2. Meditate On The Word Of God.

According to Psalm 119:98-100, meditating on God’s word makes you wiser than your enemies, gives you more insight than your teachers and gives you more understanding than your elders.
Meditate on a parable, story, character, passage or Bible verse and apply it in your life.
3. Allow The Holy Spirit To Work In You.
Self help without God’s help leads to surface change that is temporary.
Your Helper, the Holy Spirit will work in you until his fruit manifests through you (Galatians 5:22-23).
Lasting change comes from the transformation of your inner being.
Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal areas in your life where he wants you to make changes.
Help me to change, grow, and do better!
“I know your thoughts and needs before you utter a word or think a thought. I will give you the power to overcome and grow in your faith and to be the believer I designed you to be!”
