Bible Verses About Restoration

A SPIRITUAL THOUGHT ON RESTORATION

When it comes to restoration for a Christian, it is a big deal. We were once sinners, doomed to condemnation and death, with no hope of salvation or pardon. And then, in God’s mercy, He sent His one and only Son to die on the crooked cross at Calvary and restore us back to Him.

Sin is a thief of everything good that God has given unto man, and according to John 10:10, the devil who is the father of sin only comes to steal, kill and destroy, but Jesus gives life in abundance. Now, the good news to those that have lost time, resources, and everything precious is that there is a promise of restoration.

Joel 2: 23-26 reminds us that God is concerned about us and will restore what we lost. It says, “Be glad then, you children of Zion, and rejoice in Yahweh, your God; for he gives you the early rain in just measure, and he causes the rain to come down for you, the early rain and the latter rain, as before. The threshing floors will be full of wheat, and the vats will overflow with new wine and oil. I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the great locust, the grasshopper, and the caterpillar, my great army, which I sent among you. You will have plenty to eat, and be satisfied, and will praise the name of Yahweh, your God, who has dealt wondrously with you; and my people will never again be disappointed.”

This hope, this life, is what God calls us to, as believers, and is also the good news He wants us to share with everyone around us. Ours is a message of forgiveness, reconciliation, and restoration.
