Bible Verses And Prayers For Pregnancy After a Miscarriage

You Can Enjoy Your Pregnancy After Having a Miscarriage

So you’re pregnant again, congratulations!

A new life brings with it the joy of experiencing motherhood. Don’t let the fear of another miscarriage cut off your joy and happiness. You can enjoy your pregnancy and look forward to nurturing your baby when born.

It’s normal to fear losing your pregnancy again when you look at the statistics on medical websites. Statistics are facts but the word of God is truth. Truth overrides facts.

What does God say about your pregnancy?

Knowing that God is with you will free you to enjoy it.

Fear will paralyze you and take away the joy you feel about being pregnant again. Fear comes from anxious thoughts you allow to linger in your mind.

Philippians 4:6 tells you not to allow anxiety about anything to take over your mind but to take everything to God in prayer. His peace will guard your heart and mind.

Just because you miscarried last time does not mean you will this time.

Build your faith in the word of God. Tell God that you want to hold your baby in your arms. Believe that what you say will happen (Mark 11:22-23).

You are having many concerns about your pregnancy and they’re making your hope dwindle. You worry about what others will think if you miscarry again, whether you can handle another miscarriage, and what impact another miscarriage would have on your marriage and family, among others.

These concerns are normal.

Instead of worrying, pray and let the peace of God wash over your spirit, soul, and body (Philippians 4:7).

You will not only enjoy your pregnancy but you will make plans for your baby. You can be happy again that you are expecting a baby.

Jesus told us to speak to our mountains and they will move. Declare life over your womb and decree that it will carry your baby to full term. Ask the Spirit of Life to give life to your mortal body so you can carry your baby for nine months (Romans 8:11).

Speak to the baby in your womb and tell him or her they will live and not die. That God has blessed them and they will be a blessing to your family. Declare health over your baby and that when the time comes their delivery will be quick and easy.

To ease your fears, ask your doctor whether there is anything in your body that may have caused your last miscarriage and how to rectify it.

Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal any physical or spiritual reason that may have caused your last miscarriage. Remember that God has given you authority to deal with anything that may be a danger to your pregnancy (Luke 10:19).

God will be with you till the end of your pregnancy. He has promised to never leave or forsake you therefore do not fear or give in to discouragement (Deuteronomy 31:8).

Have faith in the God who gives life and trust in His ability to keep you and your baby safe.

Act in faith and prepare for the birth of your bundle of joy.

Prayer to Enjoy a Pregnancy After Having a Miscarriage

Prayer to Enjoy a Pregnancy After Having a Miscarriage

Lord, you are the giver of life and you have given me the life in my womb. Thank you, that you saw me as the perfect mom to bring this child into the world.

You say in Psalm 127:3 that children are a heritage and reward from you. I receive this one with an open heart and arms.

Worry and fear fill my heart. I can’t shake off thoughts of the miscarriage that I suffered last time. My sleep escapes me night after night.

Help me think only of good, noble, true, and praiseworthy thoughts about this pregnancy (Philippians 4:8). As your beloved, grant me a good night’s sleep each night.

I cast all my anxiety on you because you are my comforter. Remove all fear of losing this child from my heart. My baby will live and not die and I will sing of your goodness upon my life.

I place my baby in your hands for safekeeping for you always take care of what I leave in your hands.

If there are any unhealed areas in my heart because of the last miscarriage, heal me. Help me let go of my past hurt and trust that you are watching over me day and night.

Lord, help me see this child as a unique individual and not as compensation for the one I lost. Nothing can replace the baby I lost because he/she was special.

Give me the oil of joy and a garment of praise to enjoy this pregnancy.

Isaiah 61 3

To give them beauty for ashes, The oil of joy for mourning, The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; Isaiah 61:3

I will not allow worry to dwell in my mind because you take care of me just like you do the birds of the air. Let me rejoice in this child I am carrying in my womb and whom I trust that I will see with my eyes.

For all the shame I suffered after having a miscarriage, grant me double honor like you promised in Isaiah 61:7. May this child bring everlasting joy to my life and our home. The birth of my baby will bring you glory as the Lord, the giver of life.

You have said that you will bless the fruit of my womb (Deuteronomy 28:4) and today I believe your blessing is upon my baby. You have blessed my baby in and out of the womb. This baby will be a blessing to the nations of the earth and fulfill your purpose for his or her life.

Strengthen me with your unfailing love so negative thoughts or words from others will no longer shake me. Uphold me with your mighty hand and shield me and my baby.

I will remember that you are always with me and will never forsake me. My eyes are always on you for you are an ever-present help in times of need. When I need comfort, encouragement, peace, love, wisdom, and hope, I will turn to you for I know that you will provide them. I thank you for I know I have received what I have asked you.

In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
