Embracing The Life God Has Given You

Are you living the life that God has given you?  Or have you decided to forge your own path so that you can enjoy the pleasures of this world? Sometimes life does not go the way we plan.  Some of our dreams and goals go unmet because we realize that they are not in line with the will of God.

We are often encouraged to embrace the life God has given us in Christian circles.  But the truth is it is not as easy as some people make it seem. Okay, some people may find it easy to follow what God is telling them.  Like Isaiah, when they get the revelation of what they’re supposed to do, they accept and tell God, “here I am; send me.” (Isaiah 6:8)

But some of us are like Moses. We struggle to accept what God wants us to do because it does not make sense to our human mind. (Exodus 4:1-17)

2 Reasons why you should Embrace the Life God has Given you:

Embracing The Life God Has Given You

1. God has your best interests at heart

What you want right now may seem cool, but what God has in store for you is way cooler.  Imagine if Moses had rejected his calling.  Maybe none of us would have known about him today.

It seemed hard for Moses to go back to Egypt, knowing that Pharaoh would kill him.  But God had his best interests at heart.  Now we know God is not a respecter of persons.  If He wanted the best for Moses, then he also wants the same for you.

Yes, your reasons may seem valid right now, just like Moses’ reasons seemed right to him at that time.  But everything will work out for your own good.  It will not be easy, but it will be worth it.

2. The life God has for you has eternal rewards

Most people are always full of regret on their death beds. Why? It is because deep down, these people know that they did not live the life God had given them.  Just because someone is rich or famous doesn’t mean that they are living a life that God had purposed for them.

To know if you’re living within or outside God’s will, you need to go to him so that he can show you the plans he has for you.  The plans God has for us may not be exactly what you had in mind.  But the thing is it is always according to the desires that he has placed in our hearts.

The best part about it is the life God has planned for you has eternal rewards.  You can choose to live life the way you want.  But know that you will be judged accordingly.

The beauty in following God’s plan is that he blesses you for your obedience.

In conclusion

It doesn’t matter how old or young you are. You can start living the life God has planned for you today.  You only need to surrender to him and let him take charge of your life.  God is faithful; he will not lead you wrong because he has your best interests at heart.  The best part is he will reward you for being obedient and living life according to His plans.
