You have prayed, fasted, given, and served, but your prayers have not been answered yet. You heard a man of God say that the reason God had not responded to your prayers is that you haven’t planted a seed.
So you decided to plant seeds in many ministries so that God would bless you. But up to now, you are still going through the same struggle, nothing seems to be working.
Well, you are not alone.
Many of us have been in situations where we have tried all the things that we know to make God answer our prayers.
We have gone on extended fasts, given out money to different ministries with hopes of getting answers to our prayers. We have even gone to one prophet after another just so we can get answers to our prayers.
Sadly all this has not born any fruit for us.
But why is that?
Doesn’t the Bible tell us to pray and fast?
Aren’t we supposed to give and serve others? (Matthew 6:16-18)
Yes, we are supposed to do all this. So could it be that we have missed something? Okay before we dig deeper, let us look at the meaning of faith.
What Is Faith?

If there is one word that Christians love to through around it is Faith.
But what does it mean?
Faith means having trust, assurance, and confidence in God. Hebrews 11:1 defines faith as the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not yet seen.
Faith means knowing that God is working on your situation. It doesn’t matter what everyone says what God says in his word about that situation is real.
So how does faith work? How do we ensure that our faith works?
Faith Works By Love
Look, you do not have to coerce God into giving you anything. Go doesn’t need your money for him to bless you.
Don’t get it wrong.
Sure we have to pray, fast, give, help others but all this is for our own good. It is not meant to move God because he already did two thousand years ago.
God gave his only Son Jesus for you so that you could have eternal life.
Not just that he also did that so that you could enjoy his blessings. (John 3:16)
What is bigger or better than Jesus, death and resurrection? What can out buy that great sacrifice?
See, the Bible tells us that we are destroyed for lack of knowledge (Hosea 4:6). Don’t let anyone lie to you that you have to pay God to get something from him.
He who did not spare his only Son but gave him up for us all, how will he along with not give us what he has promised in his word. (Romans 8:32)
You need to stand firm in your faith and believe that God is going to give you what he has promised. Do not focus on what you have to do, focus on what God has promised.
Be like Abraham and all the other great heroes of faith. Focus on the faithfulness of God. (Hebrews 11)
In Short:
Fast and pray, in order to be alert in the Spirit and strong in faith. Give, not as a way of convincing God to answer your prayers but as an act of obedience. Serve others because God expects you to.
Focus on the great love God lavished on us while we are yet sinners. See God blessing you because he loves you so much.
you don’t understand how much God loves then don’t get discouraged instead ask him to show you how much he loves you. Always remember faith works by love.
