The word of God tells us that in this world, we shall have many troubles, but we have overcome the world.
We cannot run away from the battles of life. We need to stand firm and fight back so that we can win.
Fight the good fight of faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called, and you confessed the good confession in the sight of many witnesses. 1 Timothy 6:12
It could be that you are sitting there wondering if you have done something wrong. Or you want to call it quits because the Christian life seems really hard. Life was easier when you were not a believer, so you think.
Don’t fall for the lies of the enemy and do not go back to your old ways.
See, the devil is trying to do everything possible so that he can cause you to backslide. He could not stop you from getting saved. But he can block you from growing in faith.
Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. Ephesians 6:11
How do you do that?
Stand Firm In The Truth
It is easy to focus on the battle and forget the word of God when things are coming against you from every side.
But you need to stand firm in the truth and believe that what God says is the truth and not what the doctors, economic experts, or your boss say.
You need to stand firm amid the storm, or the devil will win against you.
Spend time in the word, know what God says about your situation, and stand firm in it until it manifests in the physical.
It is only by standing firm in the word that you will be able to disarm the enemy and win the battle that is before you. Please do not give up even when the enemy seems to be winning. Keep fighting.
The enemy will try every trick in the book to trouble your heart. He will feed you with thoughts of fear and doubt so that he can steal your peace and stop you from fighting.
Do not buy into his lies. Protect your mind with the shield of faith.
above all, taking up the shield of faith, with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the evil one. Ephesians 6:16
The enemy can never destroy a peaceful Christian. He may try, but he will never succeed. You should not let your heart be troubled. Believe that God will come through for you no matter what. Lean on God and trust him during this difficult time.
Remember, God is fighting for you. He has not abandoned you even though it may feel like it. Don’t let what is going on trouble your heart. Let the peace that Jesus has left us infiltrate your heart.
Remind Yourself About Your Righteousness
When we are going through a battle, the devil will try to convince us that we are not worthy to receive what we are praying for. But that is not true.
You have a right standing with God, and that means that you have been blessed with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places.
Your righteousness is found in Christ and not what you do. So when the devil tries to confuse you remind yourself that you are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus.
For him who knew no sin he made to be sin on our behalf; so that in him we might become the righteousness of God. 2 Corinthians 5:21
As long as we are in this world, we will face spiritual battles from time to time. There will be moments when the battle will be fierce, and you will feel like quitting, but you need to continue fighting.
Stand firm in the truth, remain peaceful and protect your mind and heart with the shield of faith.
Use the word of God as a weapon to disarm the enemy and remind yourself of your righteousness that is found in Christ.
