Making the most out of life: Becoming the Person God Created you to be

Sharing is caring!

We had plans for this year, but most of those plans have not come into fruition because of what is happening around us.

We have been forced to set aside what we are accustomed to and adjust our lives accordingly. But all this has come with some lessons about life. (Proverbs 19:21)

Most of us have learned that making the most out of life doesn’t mean checking things off your to-do list.

Things may not go as you planned, but you can still make the most out of life. We were not created to just get by.

We need to make the most out of our lives irrespective of what is happening around us.

Why should you make the most out of life?

You Are Not Guaranteed About Tomorrow

We had so many plans at the beginning of this year, but little did we know that most of those plans will come to a standstill.

Some people had planned out their whole year, but sadly they are not with us today.  The only day we are guaranteed is today.

None of us is sure about tomorrow, even if we keep on planning. (James 4:13-15)

The rich fool in the Bible kept on making plans about the harvest he had made, but he didn’t know that death would come lurking that night.

Instead of thinking about tomorrow, we need to make a shift in our mindset and think about today.

Don’t get it wrong. It okay to plan about your tomorrow but be intentional about finishing today’s assignment. (Luke 12:16-21)

Here are a few questions that can help us make the most of this day:

  • How can you make a difference in someone’s life today?
  • What can you do differently today than yesterday?
  • What is that one thing you’ve been planning to do for long that you can actually do today?

It is easy to postpone things, but it is better not to because you not assured of tomorrow.

How do you make the most out of life?

Chase Your Dreams And Goals

Make the most out of life by chasing your dreams and goals.

You don’t have to start big or wait for everything to be perfect in your life.

Sometimes you just need to start, and God will see you through.

It is God who has placed those desires in your heart, and he will help you to accomplish them.

So do not worry about being perfect or having it all together.  God is not looking for perfect people but for those that are willing to obey his voice.

Pray Without Ceasing

The people who have made the most out of life are those who spend time in the presence of God.  It is only through prayer that you get to know the heart of God and where he wants you to go.

Sure, you can do a lot of things without seeking God, but that does not mean that you are making the most out of life.

Making the most out of life means living the life God has for you.  It means helping the people that God wants you to help and being at the right place at the right time doing the right thing for the right reasons.

For that to happen, you need guidance from God, and that starts with prayer and studying the word of God. (1Thessalonians 5:17)

All in all

Many of us are busy, but very few of us are making the most out of life.  We’ve been given two options in this world to choose life or death.

It is only by choosing life, and that is the things of God that you can make the most out of life.

So start by turning to God and finding out what he wants you to do before you embark on anything.

Do not be like the rich fool who bragged about his great harvest and made plans without seeking God or glorifying him.

Go to the Father and find out what he has in store for you.
