“Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest.  Matthew 11:28

Spiritual Thought

Rejection always leaves us feeling bitter and unwanted. When other people, especially our family, reject us, we think that we are not valuable people and that no one will ever accept us.

You may be going through a lot of stuff right now. Your heart may be burdened by so many things, and you don’t know who to turn to at this point.

Jesus gives us an open invitation in this verse. He tells us to go to Him.

He is not forcing you to go to Him. But Jesus is telling you, I know what you are going through, but you don’t have to. I am here. I want to help you. If you come to me, you are going to find rest.

What burden are you carrying in your heart?

It doesn’t matter whether you made a mistake that has cost you everything, including your family. It doesn’t matter whether the whole world is laughing at you because of the bad things you’ve done.

Stop trying to fix your own life and run to Jesus. He is at the doorstep of your life, telling you to come to me with all that you carry.

He’s calling you and telling you to stop laboring alone. I am here to help you. Jesus wants to give you rest from all the wrong things that you’re going through.

You just need to accept His invitation and to rest in his unconditional love.

Will you do it?

Prayer

Matthew 11:28

Lord I’ll be honest, I’ve been going through a rough patch. So I ask that You please give me the strength to go on and the patience to keep waiting for this darkness to leave.

It’s only by Your grace that I can have peace again, but it won’t happen without Your help. I need Your grace to be free from the sadness that weighs me down.

Father, I bring and surrender everything that burdens me including this health difficulty that I am faced with. I know that You want to heal me and relieve me of this burden, so I give it to You in exchange for restoration and peace. Amen!
