In these uncertain times, it’s easy to long for the past and wish things to return to normal. The truth, however, is that normal isn’t coming back, but Jesus is.

The world has changed, and things can never return to how they used to be. But amid all the uncertainties and chaos, one thing remains constant: Jesus. He said in John 14:3. – And if I go and prepare a place for you; I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am, you may be also.
At a time when nobody wants to stand with God because they want to be normal—like every other person out there—Jesus tells us in Luke 9:62 that no one who puts a hand to the plow and looks back is fit for service in the kingdom of God.
So, when you are tempted to blend in with the crowd or live in a way considered normal or acceptable, remember that normal isn’t coming back—but Jesus is.
The Signs of Jesus’ Coming
The Bible is full of prophecies concerning the second coming of Christ. God wants believers to be watchful for signs that indicate Jesus’ return is imminent.
Firstly, Scripture says there will be wars and rumors of wars. (Matthew 24:6). And we see these happening in the world today. Many countries are engaged in conflicts, and tensions are constantly rising in different nations.
Secondly, the Bible says earthquakes, famines, and pestilence will occur. (Luke 21:11). We have witnessed a significant increase in natural disasters, such as hurricanes, earthquakes, and wildfires, which are all clear signs of the end times.
Scripture also says immorality and lawlessness will increase. (Matthew 24:12). Society’s values have shifted, and we can see a rise in immorality and gross misconduct everywhere we look.
Matthew 24:11 says false teachers and prophets will arise and deceive many. They will lead many astray with their false teachings and false signs and wonders.
Matthew 24:14 also tells us that the gospel will be preached worldwide. We are currently witnessing the fulfillment of this prophecy, with the gospel reaching every corner of the world through various media and evangelistic efforts.
The Rapture: Jesus’ Second Coming
The rapture is an event foretold in the Bible where Jesus will return to take all the saints to where He is. This momentous event will mark the beginning of the end times. As believers, we must prepare for Christ’s coming because it could happen at any moment.
Jesus warned us that “as it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man.” (Matthew 24:37). The world we live in today is full of sin, wickedness, and immorality, which are all signs that Jesus’ return is closer than we think.
Therefore, we must not become complacent in our faith but remain watchful and prepared for Christ’s coming.
In 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17, Paul writes – For the Lord Himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command; with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God; and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so, we will be with the Lord forever. This Scripture describes the rapture and provides a clear picture of what will happen when Christ returns.
Finally, as we continue our daily lives, we must remember that normal isn’t coming back, but Jesus is. Our world is changing rapidly, and we can see the signs of the end times around us.
We must live in a way that pleases God and prepares us for His return. We must keep ourselves pure and holy so we will make it when Jesus returns to take us home to where He has prepared for us.
Don’t Be Left Behind
If you are gradually backsliding or have completely fallen away from your faith, it’s not too late to return to God. He will forgive you if you repent and ask for His forgiveness.
It’s important to note that there’s nothing God won’t forgive. 1 John 1:9 says –If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Regardless of how grievous our sins may be, we can receive forgiveness through Christ.
Reach out to Jesus now and receive forgiveness. Don’t allow yourself to be left behind. Life after the rapture will be a terrifying one. Those who are left behind will face the Antichrist and the Great Tribulation.
They will be hunted down and killed, and without the mark of the beast, they won’t buy or sell. This isn’t a fate that anyone should want for themselves. That’s why being ready for Jesus’ return is so important.
Conclusion
We live in unprecedented times, but we can take comfort in the fact that Jesus will return for His church. We must always be ready and live our lives like He will return today.
Don’t put off your salvation another day. Seek the Lord while He may be found. Remember, “normal” isn’t coming back. But Jesus is. Let’s prepare for His return and eagerly await the day we will be with Him forever.
