Words Of Encouragement For Repairing Relationships
The source of our eternal hope is the great love that made Our Heavenly Father restore mankind’s relationship with Him through the sacrifice of His Only Son, Jesus Christ.
If God could restore that relationship between us and Him, that seemed irredeemable, then there isn’t a relationship on this terrestrial ball that He can’t fix.
As long as humans are involved, there will be conflicts and misunderstandings.
Embracing the fact that we are all different and unique in character, temperament, mindset, and inclinations will make it much easier to see from each other’s viewpoints.
Our differences should be our strengths.
God brings different people together to make them all better.
Forgiveness isn’t always the easy choice, but it is necessary to foster the relationship. Just think about how God forgave your past, present, and future sins.
In Matthew 18:22, Jesus admonishes us to never be weary of forgiving even when our loved ones hurt us.
Jesus said to him, “I don’t tell you until seven times, but, until seventy times seven. Matthew 18:22
In Mark 11:25, He urges us to ensure that our hearts are rid of bitterness before we speak to God.

Whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone; so that your Father, who is in heaven, may also forgive you your transgressions. Mark 11:25
As we await the return of our Lord, we have work to do. Now is not the time to break the ties that bind us.
Rather, we should be building bridges to reach those in need of the refreshing and renewing Power of the Gospel.
Prayer For Repairing Relationships (#1)
Lord, thank you for blessing us with relationships.
Thank you for allowing us to live in a community with other people who can sympathize with our struggles and share in our happiness.
Relationships can be so rewarding, but they can also wound us deeply because of sin.
Right now, there are relationships in my life that are not in a good place. I have hurt people whom I dearly love, and some of those people have hurt me. It’s a tragic part of being human, and the only cure is your loving mercy.
Father, help me to recognize the ways in which I have wronged others.
Give me the humility to repent and seek forgiveness.
And for those who have wronged me, help me to extend the same grace that you have shown me. Even if they don’t apologize or see the error of their ways, help me to forgive them anyway.
Many of my relationships are complicated and messy, but that doesn’t change the task that you’re calling me to do.
Help me to look past our history and focus on mending for the future.
God, I want to repair these broken relationships so desperately. But if there are certain relationships that are toxic to me and that would pull me away from you, grant me wisdom and resolve.
Give me the ability to make amends, make peace, and then exit the situation. May you be glorified in each one of these decisions.
In Jesus’ name I pray.
Amen.
Prayer For Repairing Relationships (#2)
Dear God,
I’m grateful for the great love You have for us. Thank You for sending Your Son to die for our sins and repair our damaged relationship with You. You’re the God of the second chance.
I adore Your Name!
Lord, right now, I confess my sins before You. I let go of every bitterness that I have held on to till now. I declare that I let go of an unforgiving spirit, and I embrace Your Holy Spirit of Forgiveness.
Set my heart right. Cleanse me of every character trait that does not glorify Your Holy Name.
Even with David in Psalm 51:10, I ask that You remake my heart and stir up Your Spirit on the inside of me.

Create in me a clean heart, O God. Renew a right spirit within me. Psalm 51:10
Help me to see others through Your eyes so that I can show true mercy, compassion, and love at all times. Lord, perfect me in the Fruit of the Spirit according to Galatians 5:22.
May I ever be filled with Your love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control, so much so that they emanate out of me and cater to the needs of a hungry and desperate world.
Jehovah Shalom, I ask that You send Your peace into every broken relationship right now.
I ask that Your healing power eliminate every hurt and mend every heart. I pray for a total restoration of all the years lost in our relationships, based on Your promise in Joel 2:25.
I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the great locust, the grasshopper, and the caterpillar, my great army, which I sent among you. Joel 2:25
Strengthen the cords that hold us together. Help us to love and tolerate each other. Teach us to work in unity as Your Body.
Your Word in Matthew 16:18 says that hell will hold no sway over the Church You are building.
I also tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my assembly, and the gates of Hades will not prevail against it. Matthew 16:18
So shall it be.
I pray in the matchless Name of Jesus Christ, the Prince of Peace.
Amen.
