Heavenly Father, I thank you for always helping me become a better person.
The Christian walk is difficult but you help me make it one day at a time.
You sanctify me daily so I may be more like Christ.
Today I ask you to help me stop struggling with stubbornness. I have tried dealing with it in my strength but I have failed.
I ask you to help me obey your commands so I can live a victorious life.
Many times I want to do things my way and not yours and that is not your will for me.
It is a sinful attitude and I ask you to help me deal with it. I want my ways and thoughts to align with yours which are higher than mine (Isaiah 55:8).
Help me abandon my way of doing things and trade it with yours.
Your way is perfect and you are the one who makes my way perfect. Forgive me for when I think my way is better than yours and follow through with it.
Pardon me for disregarding your voice guiding me on the right path to take. I thank you because when I repent you are faithful to forgive me.
May your Holy Spirit work in my heart and help me let go of my stubborn ways.
I don’t want to continue insisting on doing things the way I please because it never leads me anywhere good.
Heal any wounds in my heart that cause me to be stubborn. Help me yield to your Spirit who will help me do what you want me to do.
Remind me every day that your divine wisdom is greater than my limited human wisdom (1 Corinthians 1:25).
I will not insist on doing things blindly but will allow you to lead the way.
You are the best guide I can ever have and I know you will always lead me in the right direction.
Help me not to fear surrendering to you knowing you always have my best interests at heart.
I have nothing to worry about laying everything in your mighty hands.
In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
