Lord, I praise you because you are my shield and defender. You are my savior and provider.
I am excited at having reached forty years.
Celebrating my fortieth birthday fills me with great joy because I live in abundance.
Thank you for a great life and for walking with me all these years.
May my birthday bring special blessings into my life that will always remind me of how much you love me.
My life is full of joy because of the unfailing love that you have showered me with all my life.
You have helped me overcome many things (Romans 8:37), and today I stand because of your strength.
Show me your plans for the next ten years of my life and the things I should place a priority on every day.
Help me see my life through your eyes because you see the end from the beginning.
I will continue to trust in you and your great plans for my life. May I always follow the leading of your Spirit in all I do.
Thank you for the joy and happiness you have brought into my life and for watching over me each day.
I am alive because you protected me from many dangers and kept me from harm.
You shielded me from those who didn’t have my best interests at heart and you also gave me great friendships.
Renew my hope in the things I have prayed about and help me not to lose my faith.
I will wait for your appointed time to receive all that you have planned for me.
I will not be in a hurry because I want to enjoy my life’s journey as I wait on you.
Give me the strength to pray without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17) till I see my prayers manifest in my life.
Fill my life with the right relationships that will take me to where you want me to go.
Remove those relationships that no longer serve a purpose in my life.
Help me let go of anything that needs to leave my life so I will travel light.
