Lord, thank you for giving me a healthy body and healing me whenever I have any ailment. I hope to have a body that will carry me into old age with no trouble.
For that to happen, I have to keep fit and exercise. I know you care for every area of my life and my goal of fitness is no exception.
Please give me a breakthrough in my fitness goals.
Your word in 1 Timothy 4:8 says physical training is of value and I want to embrace that reality for myself.
As I train my body, let me never forget that godliness is of more value and to make it my goal.
Every part of me needs your help to be healthy so I can live the abundant life Jesus came to give me.
Father, give me the strength I need each day so I can achieve my fitness goals.
Sometimes I lack the morale to keep going, especially when I don’t see the results of my exercise regime.
Help me keep going knowing that a breakthrough will only come if I continue my exercises with consistency.
Show me how to adjust my daily diet because what I eat affects my weight loss. I don’t want to sabotage my good work at the gym because of poor eating habits.
Help me cut down on unhealthy foods which make me put on weight fast.
Give me a love for fruits and vegetables and to balance my intake of carbohydrates and proteins.
Help me focus on healthy eating because a good diet will yield the results I am looking for as I exercise.
I look to you for help with the discipline I need to eat well and exercise. It is not an easy journey and I ask for your help.
You have promised to be an ever present help in times of need (Psalm 46:1).
Help me not to beat myself up when I lag in my fitness goals but to keep praying for a breakthrough.
I will believe in your mighty power to help me break through all the obstacles I face.
In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
