Prayer For a Good Day
Heavenly Father,
I praise you for giving me life and sustaining me from when I was born. You have been my strong pillar and the giver of my strength. Your love has filled my heart and transformed me into the person who loves others as you love them.
Thank you for the amazing things you have done in my life and your joy that fills my heart. I can look forward to better days because you are in my life.
With you, I know that I can achieve my dreams and live the abundant life that Jesus died to give me. Today, I ask that it will be a good day for me, full of your blessings and abundant love.
Bless my day and those that I will come into contact with as I go about my daily duties. You have said in Deuteronomy 28:6 that I am blessed coming in and going out, and may this blessing fill my life today.
May your blessing be upon everything that I will do today, and help me be a blessing to others who need my help.
I rejoice in the truth that in Christ you have blessed me with every spiritual blessing and that makes me glad. Remind me to count my blessings today and not to focus on anything negative so that my mind will remain pure. I ask that everything in my day goes well and according to your plan so that I can achieve my goals for the day.
I know that my day will be ordered when I include you in it because you know every step I need to take and every word I need to speak to others. Even where things don’t go as I imagined, I will trust that you will make all things work for my good because I love you (Romans 8:28).
My heart will not give in to worry but I will cast my cares on you today because you are the one who helps me deal with everything that comes my way.
Where I need your help, I will call upon you because you are an ever-present help in my time of need. You have promised to always help me with anything that I am struggling with and to show me what I don’t know.
I will run to your name because it is a strong tower that the righteous run to and they are safe. You have always helped me when I have needed you, and you have delivered me from situations that were unpleasant.
I will rest because you are always ready with a word to uplift me and deliver me. I will hold on to your promise that you will send your angels to guard me in all my ways so that I will continue on the right path.
Send angelic help to lift me in their arms so that I will not stumble against any stone that I cannot see (Psalm 91:11-12). Your angels are ministering spirits that you have sent to me to help me throughout my life as you give them instructions.
My comfort is in knowing that I have help from heaven wherever I go, and I do not need to fear trouble or danger. As I speak your word in my life, may your angels hearken to it for they only obey what you say.
Take away my fears so that I will obey your word and take action boldly. You have said that you have not given me a spirit of fear but one of power, love, and a sound mind 2 Timothy 1:7.
I cast out all fear in my heart and declare that I will not submit to it but to your word. Even though I walk through the shadow of death, I will fear no evil because you are with me.
Help me deal with any unfounded fears that are likely to ruin my day. Fear is always unfruitful, and it makes me stop in my tracks when I should be moving forward.
This is the day that you have made and I choose to rejoice and be glad in it.
This is the day that the Lord has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it! Psalm 118:24
It is a beautiful day and I thank you for giving me the opportunity to see and enjoy it. Help me to see the good in this day and to behold its beauty.
Show me the things that I can thank you for on this day and the lives I can touch as I go about my day. Let me see your hope today and trust that you will order my every step.
Keep me from anything that can ruin my day and help me to follow your lead so that I will go in the right direction and do the right thing.
I will not lean on my understanding but will trust your wisdom to direct my steps today according to Proverbs 3:5-6. You have said that your ways are higher than mine and your thoughts are above mine, therefore, I should trust in your guidance.
As I make decisions today, I ask that you give me your divine wisdom so that I will make the right ones. I will involve you in everything I do and will follow your leading because you know which way I should go.
Let me not be distracted by insisting on doing things my way when yours is the best. You have never failed me, and you have always given me words that have changed my life.
May this be a good day where I remember the good things you will do in my life and through me. As I reflect on my day later in the evening, may I see the good you have done in it, and thank you for it. Every day is a good day when you are in it because you have the power to change anything that is not going right.
Fill my mind with good thoughts that will leave me rejoicing in your glory.
