Dear Heavenly Father, I pray today that you would speak guidance into my life.
Try as I may, I don’t always make the right decisions. I don’t always take the steps I need to take in order to reach an outcome that is pleasing to you.
This world is filled with so many opportunities and distractions; some days it feels like I’m at the crossroads of a million different paths.
Lord, I need your guidance every day of my life, but especially now, in this season of my life.
Fill me with your Holy Spirit, so that I can walk in the direction that you want me to go, instead of chasing after my own flawed desires.
I have learned that what seems right to me at any given moment is not necessarily what is right in your eyes.
Grant me wisdom to make the choices that you would have me make.
Teach me to rely on you for every decision: the big ones, the little ones, and everything in between.
Help me to walk by faith and not by sight, as your Word instructs me.
Thank you for being near to me, Lord. Thank you for being my help in my time of need and in my time of plenty.
I am confident that you will bring me safely through this time of uncertainty, and that you will use it to grow my faith.
I pray these things in the powerful name of your Son, Jesus Christ. Amen.
Short Prayer For Guidance
Heavenly Father,
I pray for direction and guidance in my life.
My knowledge is so limited, and I’m faced with so many paths that I can’t discern which is the right one.
Help me to make the decision that best honors you.
Help me to put aside my own desires for your will.
And regardless of what I choose, let me do all things to your glory.
Throughout all of my life, guide my steps for your Kingdom’s sake.
I pray this in Jesus’ name,
