Prayer For Healing

Encouraging Words For Someone Who Needs Healing

Let us, therefore, come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. Hebrews 4:16

When we are faced with illness or disease, we may not know what to say when we cry out to God for His divine healing.

God uses us to perform miracles that glorify Him, and when you take your plea to Him in prayer, you are fully surrendering and boldly anticipating Him to hear you. He has plans for you even when the world around you is caving in.

Healing does not come from God through your eloquent words of prayer, but through coming to Him as a child who places all of your hope and trust on Him only. God can heal anything!  (Hebrews 4:16.)

Jesus performed miracles of healing while on earth, and He continues to pour His healing over His children. Medical intervention here on Earth is a gift. However, God’s power to heal is infinitely greater than the wisdom of humans.

God is with you in your time of need and ready to help you. Do you need to feel His healing touch?

#1 Prayer For Healing

Heavenly Father,

I completely surrender to you and ask that you reach the depths of my heart with the Holy Spirit.

I give you my everything, including my past, present and future. I pray Lord that you would cleanse me from all unrighteousness and release me from pain, anxiety, doubt, and fear.

Please forgive me for any bitterness or anger that dwells in the dark corners of my heart. Shine your light upon those areas within me and give me victory over those areas of weakness.

Help me to feel your warm embrace and firmly plant my feet on the path you set before me. Give me the strength to navigate my way through what you have laid ahead of me. Your perfect will for my life shall be done.

Father, I am struggling with fear and uncertainty. Please forgive me for not standing in faith and for doubting your power. You are Lord over every part of my body and every situation in my life. I know I can do anything through you.

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me Philippians 4:13

Please bathe my mind with your abundant peace and remind me that the evil one will never have authority over my body or mind.

Your power created me and gave me the very breath I breathe. I pray, oh Lord, that you would touch me with that very same power and mend me.

Send the warmth of your healing power to pass through my body and mind so it will wash over the unhealthy parts of me. Help me to function in the way you intended.

Restore my health both mentally and physically, so I may serve you.

I also lift up those who are in pain and suffering from sickness, disease, mental illness, and brokenness, that you would place your arms around each of them and restore them as well. Give them the strength, power, and peace to travel the path you set before them.

I pray these things in Jesus’ name. – Amen

#2 Prayer For Healing

Father In Heaven,

You are my healer, and I come to you to seek your compassion in my sickness and pain.

Father, I ask you to wrap your loving arms around my body and bring healing to every part of my physical being.

Please deliver me oh Lord.

I praise you and thank you for repairing what’s broken in my body and for restoring my health and casting my worries and fears far away.

I claim my faith and confidence in you here and now Father and for hearing my prayer.

For it’s in Christ’s most precious and heavenly name that I pray – Amen

  1. Please pray for my husband Dooben who has contracted Covid and he has had a heart transplant 19 years ago and he is poorly with a bad and chesty cough

    1. Merciful Savior, we beseech You to lay Your healing hands upon Dooben, who is battling the afflictions of Covid alongside his tender heart condition. Grant him Your divine healing, clear his lungs, and fortify his body to overcome this illness. Comfort him through his cough and distress, and envelop him and his loved ones in Your peace and strength during this challenging time.

“He heals the brokenhearted, and binds up their wounds.” (Psalms 147:3)
