Words Of Encouragement For Mothers
A mother is a pillar of strength for both the home and her family. We may not realize just how much we rely on our mother until we are without her. Her strength and ability to give of herself unselfishly is a blessing to those around her.
When she grows weary in the daily rigors of raising children and running a house, she must continue on without complaining. Her job is never done. She gives and gives until the day she leaves this earth.
God tells us that we are to honor our mother (Romans 12:12, Ephesians 6:2.) As her health fades or sickness settles in, we realize how much we take her for granted.
We should be lifting our mother in daily in prayer. For you see, you are not only honoring God, but you are honoring your mother.
Prayer For Mother's Health
Heavenly Father,
Thank you so much for my mother and her devotion to our family and me. Thank you, Lord, that in your infinite design and plan for my life, you chose her for me.
Forgive me when I have failed to see her true value in my life. I have taken her presence for granted. I am sorry for undermining her significance and for not holding her up to the esteemed level she deserved.
I fully acknowledge the honor of motherhood. Every mother’s burning desire to be nurturing and protective of their children is admirable. The tireless days of juggling tasks and children while embracing a Godly attitude requires both physical and spiritual strength. You supply her with the fortitude to continue on.
Your grace flows to us as children from our mothers. Please help my mother to fully devote herself to you, the Almighty Sustainer and Healer of Life. Help her to rest in knowing you are in control of your plans for her. May she find rest and peace in her assurance of your promises.
My heart is full of gratitude to you, Lord, for this woman who gave birth to me and for you who formed me in the womb. I love and cherish my mother and trust you to hold her tightly in the palm of your hand.
When my mother struggles with pain or sickness, help her to fight the fear or worry amidst it all. Help her to feel your presence and forgive her when doubting. We know you are in control of her health no matter how well or sick she is. You use all things to work for good and although we may not understand your plans, help us to accept your perfect will.
Father, my mother, needs your grace and compassion in healing. Your Word tells us that if we call out to you, you will hear our cry (Psalm 107:19-20.) We lay our worries at your feet.
Help me Lord to help my mother and place in me a servant’s heart to minister to her needs. I pray these things in Jesus’ name, Amen
Short Prayer For Sick Mother
“And the prayer of faith will save the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sin, he will be forgiven.” James 5:15
“The Lord sustains him on his sickbed; in his illness restore him to full health.” Psalm 41:3
Heavenly Father,
I lift up my mother to you and ask that you would wash over her physical body and restore her health.
Give her the strength she needs and help her to feel you near her.
Protect and keep her in the palm of your hand Father.
For I pray this in Christ’s most high name - Amen.
Prayer for a Mother's Deteriorating Mental Health
May the Holy Spirit be with my mother during this difficult time as she faces a mental battle. There is no denying that her mind has been less than what it used to be over the last few months.
I ask that You will miraculously restore her to full mental fitness and well-being if it is in your will to do so.
I trust in Jesus’ healing abilities by remembering how He healed so many while He walked on this Earth, and Lord, I am comforted by the power of Your Holy Spirit.
We may not be ready to deal with this current situation but we know that You will comfort and strengthen everyone involved.
We ask that you heal her but if it is your will for her not to be restores and if that's the path You have laid out for her then please give us all the hope and faith that everything will be okay during this trying time
