Words Of Encouragement

Dear Sister,

During these tough times when you’re tempted to think that God is far from you, remember that He promises to never leave.

In Isaiah 43:2, His Word declares that He is with us through the tough times and that neither water nor fire can ever consume us.

When you pass through the waters, I will be with you, and through the rivers, they will not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned, and the flame will not scorch you. Isaiah 43:2

I want you to recall, even in the midst of the pain, the Word of God in Isaiah 53:5. Jesus Christ paid the price for our total healing and well-being, and His wounds make us whole.

But he was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought our peace was on him; and by his wounds we are healed. Isaiah 53:5

Psalm 41:3 declares that the Lord sustains us in the face of illness and restores us to complete health.

psalm 41:3 bible verse
Yahweh will sustain him on his sickbed, and restore him from his bed of illness. Psalm 41:3

God is surely for you, so tell me, who can succeed against you?

Romans 8:31-32 assures us that the One Who loved us to the point of sacrificing His Son in order to make us a part of His Family has only good things for us.

31 What then shall we say about these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? 32 He who didn’t spare his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how would he not also with him freely give us all things? Romans 8:31-32

And no amount of illness or pain can change that.

Rest in this knowledge.

Prayer For Sister In Hospital

Dear God,

I thank You for Your great love for my sister, and Your infinite mercy that has seen her through the years to this point of her life.

Thank You for the abundance of verve and vigor that she has enjoyed in her life. I’m grateful, dear God, and so is she.

Lord, through every single battle we face, while we are still here on Earth, we know that You are with us.

And that is why we are not afraid of the enemy and his works. You have told us that the devil is a thief, a murderer, and a destroyer, but in the very same sentence, You reassure us of the life that we can find in You alone.

We reach into that life now.

As Your Word declares in Jeremiah 30:17, You restore health to Your people and heal every wound. Lord, I ask that this becomes the testimony of Your daughter, today.

Jeremiah 30:17 bible verse
For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds,” says Yahweh; “because they have called you an outcast, saying, ‘It is Zion, whom no man seeks after.’” Jeremiah 30:17

Lord, I ask that You remind her of Your presence that is with her every single moment of the day.

I ask that whenever she feels abandoned and afraid, she remembers that she is never alone.

Lord, teach her to hold unto Your promise in Romans 8: 35-37 that nothing can separate her from Your love.

I thank You, Lord, for providing people to look after her.

I ask that You endow the doctors and the entire medical team with fresh wisdom and compassion to care for her, and I also reach out in prayer to every person suffering from one ailment or the other, admitted to the hospital.

I ask that You touch them with Your healing power and give them Your rest as promised in Matthew 11:28.

matthew 11:28 bible verse
Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28

Let Your healing Word remain central in my sister’s heart and mind so that she faces each day with courage and hope.

May laughter never cease from her lips, even in the face of chaos and adversity.

Lord, I ask that You give her a testimony that will heal and transform other lives – that in accordance with Your Word in Romans 8:28, You work everything in her favor.

We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, for those who are called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28

I ask that You be glorified, even in this present affliction, because, as Paul declared in 2 Corinthians 12:9, Your strength is made perfect in weakness.

He has said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Most gladly therefore I will rather glory in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest on me. 2 Corinthians 12:9

And because You are able to do even more than we can imagine or fathom, we ask these things in the Name of Our Lord, Jesus Christ, the Messiah.

Amen.

Prayer for Healing for My Sister

Dear Lord, I come to You today with the assurance that all that You do is good and perfect. I have witnessed Your kindness and love for humanity, and it is glaring that there is no shadow of turning with You.

Therefore, Lord, I am thankful for the beauties of life, love, family, and friends and for these situations that help us experience new phases of Your love.

I am thankful for the Holy Spirit, our Comforter, and very present help in times of need and want. Thank You, Lord, for being so mindful of us that You never sleep nor slumber. You take great care to number the hair on my head, giving each strand its unique tag.

In these ways, You show me that I am loved, precious, and worthy to be a co-heir with Christ in Your Kingdom.

Lord, You loved me when I was least deserving of Your love, and right now, I am confident that You will never leave me or toss me out of Your arms even in this dreary time.

And so Lord, I come before Your throne of grace, with the valiant faith that You are the changeless healer and You have borne the punishment for my affliction, and so, by Your stripes, the members of my household and I receive healing.

I do not come trembling in fear or with my brows creased in worry. Instead, I come with the faith of the child who knows that healing is bread in the Father’s Kingdom. My sister is sick, and it hurts to see her go through so much pain; I come to ask for a complete restoration of health.

Lord, You have made her, and You knew her intimately, even before her birth. Therefore, You are familiar with all of her body parts and physiology. You know every part that is weak and unhealthy, and unlike the physicians, You have the power to heal her entirely of every ailment.

Yet, I know that You are a good Father, and all You do is right and perfect.

Therefore, Lord, I humbly ask that You help us to trust You with her health and trust Your decision and timing.

Lord, at this time, help our hearts and cause that we look to You for solace as You restore her health. And help us to understand that Your plans for her life are greater than all that we can imagine.

Lord, I ask that beyond her physical body, You will draw her to the warmth of Your Presence, even as You heal all the leaks in her relationship with You. Restore her faith Lord, and quicken her Spirit at this time.

Lord, I pray that in all these, You will cause us to surrender our wills, thoughts, and yearnings to You. Help us to grow through this period and cause that we all experience new dimensions of Your love.

In this phase, I ask that You will cause us to show love to Your daughter and become constant reminders of Your love and goodness towards her. Amen.
