Words Of Encouragement
Remember when you were a sweet little baby in Mommy’s arms?
Of course, you don’t.
Being in this human body after the Fall comes with its limitations.
But the Lord, in His infinite mercies, has provided a means by which we can place a demand on some ‘extra’ to our ‘ordinary.’
It’s called prayer.
God’s Word is full of promises that assure us that He will bring things to our memory when we need them the most.
Meditate on these promises. Meditating on the Word of God alone is enough to sharpen your mind and flood it with joy and assurance.
In Psalm 111:4-5, David recounts how the Lord refreshes our memories of the great and mighty things He has done in our lives.
And He’s there to remind us of the little, everyday things too – formulas for an exam, appointments, birthdays and anniversaries, people’s names, where you kept the remote, literally anything you need to remember!
Remember that!
Prayer For Retentive Memory
Dear God,I’m grateful for Your love for us. Thank You because You never forget, and thank You for infusing Your very essence and nature into us afresh, through Your Holy Spirit.
You are a faithful God. May we grow to be more and more like You.
Lord, You promised in John 14:26 that the Holy Spirit that resides in us – our Comforter – will also be our Teacher, bringing everything to our remembrance.
I believe it, and I praise You because this is the reality that Your son/daughter lives in.
Help them to stay focused on the things that matter today and always, and consistently meditate on Your Word.
As Your servant David boldly declared, help your child keep Your Word in their heart so that they can live above sin.
Dear God, please place reminders and pointers all around them, so that when they see, hear or perceive them, they can remember those important things they need to do, say or write in every situation.
Lord, You are your child’s Helper, and so they will never fret or be put to shame.
I ask that whenever they forget a vital point, You remind them of Philippians 4:6 and that peace, instead of anxiety, will flood their heart.

May they stay aware of Your presence that is constantly with them, just as You promised in Joshua 1:9, and may this assurance give them courage in the face of fearful situations.

Let Your peace overwhelm them. May they never throw away their confidence in which lies the great reward You have for them, as You have commanded in Hebrews 10:35.
In 1 Kings 4:29-30, Your Word tells us how You gave Solomon divine, unmatched and indescribable wisdom and understanding, and a memory as endless as the sand on a beach.
This is my desire for Your child. In difficult and trying situations, let them receive clarity and insight, directly from You, on what to do.
I come against every effort of the enemy to introduce confusion into the mind of Your child. I pull down every evil imagination that tries to take precedence in their mind.
And above all, I ask that You take away every memory of faults, pain, hurt and wrongs.
Let Your goodness and mercy be all that they can think about.
I pray in Jesus’ mighty Name.Amen.

“But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you.” John 14:26
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be known to God.” Philippians 4:6
Dear Lord,
Help me to be focused and make my mind sharp today.
Father, I trust in you to give me guidance and show me the way, and in the moment I should forget something Lord, please show me the things I need to see and help me to remember the things I need to remember.
For you are my light, my eyes, my all.
I pray this in your most loving name God – Amen.
