Abba Father, we thank You for the gift of righteousness. And, because of this gift, we can come boldly to Your presence.
Lord, Your son, Jesus, did not come to destroy the law but to fulfill them. We know the wages of sin is death. And, You did not spare Your beloved son from the agony of the cross because of sin. Yet, You said that if we confess our sins, You are faithful and just to forgive us of all unrighteousness.
Lord, we ask for mercy for that someone in trouble with the law; whether guilty of the crime or not, we ask that You show Your kindness towards him or her. For the goodness of God leads men to repentance.
Father, we thank You for exercising loving kindness, judgment, and righteousness on the earth, for in these You delight. We also acknowledge that justice and judgment are the habitations of Your throne, as well as mercy and truth which go before thy face.
Thank You, Abba, for the assurance of Your name as a strong tower where the righteous run into. Also, for being a sun and shield for the upright. Father, we ask that You save those who are innocent of the accusation laid against them.
Like You delivered Joseph, Lord, deliver these individuals well. For You will deliver them in six troubles, and in seven, no evil will touch them. Even though the waters roar and become troubled, and the mountains quake, thank You for always standing by the righteous.
Job 5:19 He will deliver you in six troubles; yes, in seven no evil will touch you.
We also thank You for the Spirit of boldness, the kind You gave Paul. Like Paul stood to defend his belief in You, that this individual will receive boldness also, to tell the truth, and not waiver in his faith in You.
Lord, You are the Highest Judge of all, and there is no injustice in You. We ask that the law will carry out its duty with all fairness and equity. Contrary to whatever goes on in the legal system, Father, the king’s heart is in Your hand.
As rivers of water, You turn it wherever You please. We ask that You turn the hearts of the men and women in the seat of authority to favor Your child.
Father, as You made Jesus the way, the truth, and the life, we request that You make the heart of this offender like Jesus. Let this man or woman be the doorway for people to receive salvation. Let his or her lips speak the truth of the gospel. Let this individual be a full expression of the light and grace of God.
Father, thank You for the heart of obedience given to this individual to conform to the laid down instructions of the law from now on. Thank You for the Spirit of wisdom You will impart to them. We also appreciate the workings of the Spirit in their lives. To bear fruit of repentance if guilty or the fruit of patience if innocent.
Lord, for whatever litigation fee that they had to pay to recover their freedom, we ask that You supply all their financial needs. Also, for discouraged family members who had severed ties with them, Lord, we ask for restoration. Like You restored the prodigal son to his father, Lord, restore the bond in this family.
