Commit your deeds to the Lord, and your plans shall succeed. – Proverbs 16:3
Oh, we have so many plans. Humanity is exceptionally creative, and we zip through thousands of ideas and concepts in one day. Furthermore, the power of the mind is demonstrated when we seek ways to perform things physically.
Second, only to our thoughts are our actions. Every action or work you see out in the visible world around you starts in the invisible world of someone’s mind.
We know that what we can physically do gets us to where we want to be physically and what we want to have materially. This rationale is why we rush out of bed early every morning and return very late at night.
Unfortunately, as we go about our work and lives, a disconnect forms between our work and our thoughts, and we slowly realize that life is not going according to plan. Dealing with this disconnect is the reason behind this verse of scripture.
The wise man charges us to commit or entrust our works, actions, or business to God. He tells us to aim towards God with whatever we do – to get God involved. And the guarantee is that our thoughts, what we imagine, desire, and hope for will manifest before us.
Wow! You may find that difficult to believe, but consider a sliver of God’s resume for a moment. He made a beautiful, lively, and orderly world out of utter darkness, chaos, and nothingness.
Lord, I want to ask for success in every area of my life. Help me to be successful financially, academically, and spiritually. Help me to be wise with all that you have placed in my life. Help me to realize that everything that I have right now comes from You and that You will always be with me. Give me the wisdom and the strength to stay on the path you have set for me. Which I know is a path to success. in Jesus’ name I pray.
