It is in vain that you rise up early and go late to rest, eating the bread of anxious toil; for he gives to his beloved sleep. Psalm 127:2

Spiritual Thought
Got to go to work? Yeah, me too.
However, why this anxious feeling every day? Waking up early, tired from the previous day, gingerly hurrying to work, coming back home late, worn out physically and mentally, preparing for the next day, and doing it all over again – and for many people, for a job they don’t even like.
Most of us don’t even have a better reason to work than just mere survival, which is just sad. A lot have also lost our purpose and sense of direction as the times crashed against us like the waves against a boat on a stormy sea.
Also, we are anxious and desperate because we don’t know what tomorrow will bring.
We get so scared many nights that we find it hard to sleep.
However, we must approach our lives with an air of confidence in God. And when we work, we must have an attitude that we work for God and not ourselves. Maybe you feel like you are not appreciated at work but we must remember that we are working alongside God as agents of His plans no matter where we are.
When we think like this, we free ourselves of any pressure because we know that if it’s God we labor for, He becomes responsible for our care.
God loves you, and you must understand that if He does, He will take care of you and give you rest. So, sleep well tonight, beloved.
Prayer
Father God, thank You for Your amazing and powerful ways. Help me not be so hard on myself. Forgive me for not seeing things that You would have me see. Help me to have a more peaceful mind and to think more positively. Guide me to do all the things that You have planned for me. Help me to have a healthy attitude and not be too stressed out.
Please help me to sleep peacefully at night and wake up refreshed and energized for the new day. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
