Ever felt like you’re not enough? You feel like you don’t measure up to the standards of your family, workplace, school, or even your local church.

Maybe you are feeling inadequate for the ministry God has called you in.
Well, you are not alone. Even the most influential people in the Bible, like Moses and Jeremiah, felt inadequate. (Jeremiah 1:6-7)
The devil does not like a confident Christian because he knows that such a person will do great things for the kingdom of God and hinder his kingdom from advancing.
So what does he do?
The enemy plants false ideas in our minds from childhood so that we can feel inadequate.
But we don’t have to feel that way.
The truth is, we always feel the need to measure up to certain standards, but the truth is we will still fail because we are not perfect without Jesus. It is only in him that we can find our completion.
How do you stop feeling inadequate?
Meditate On The Word of God
Meditation means focusing on a particular verse or passage in the Bible, pondering and praying over it, and asking God for revelation through the Spirit.
Meditation will help you to focus on God’s word instead of the wrong things that the devil has planted in your mind.
When you focus on God’s word, you will become courageous and strong.
Instead of being preoccupied with things that happened in the past, be preoccupied with the word of God by practicing meditation.
Be Aware Of Your Feelings and Thoughts
The word of God tells us to guard our hearts because out of it are the issues of life.
Now your heart is your will, emotions, and attitudes. So you need to be aware of your feelings, attitudes, and thoughts. (Proverbs 24:3)
Every time you feel inadequate, remind yourself that you are more than enough because Jesus completes you.
If you feel like a failure, take your eyes off yourself and look at Jesus.
He already won the battle at the cross.
He will not start failing you now.
Stop Comparing Yourself With Others
If you compare your Christian journey with others, you will start feeling inadequate.
The fact is you will never be at the same level as your Christian friends in spirituality.
Everyone has their own journey. It is okay to learn from others, but you should not compare yourself to them
Stop trying to live according to the expectations of others and follow the path God has laid out for you. (2 Corinthians 10:12)
In short:
Feeling inadequate is not a good thing because it will cause you to sabotage your own success.
You are more than enough, and your completion is found in Christ.
Do not allow the devil to lie to you. Look up to Jesus and see yourself in him.
Make meditation a daily practice so that your mind can be filled with the right thoughts.
Your Christian journey is different from others, so stop comparing yourself with others.
Lastly, beware of your attitudes, thoughts, and feelings, for they can be deceptive. Let the word of God guide you and not your feelings.
