Trusting God In The Midst Of Chaos

There are those times when life gets messy, and we just can’t keep up with everything.

We feel pressured to tick things off our to-do lists, and this leaves us feeling stressed and vulnerable.

We can blend in and panic like every other person, but that is not what God is calling us to do.

We need to trust God amid the chaos.

Easier said than done, right? Trusting God is not as easy as some Christian try to make it sound. It is easy to trust him when everything is going our way.  But the same cannot be said when things are working against us.

To understand why trusting God amid chaos is essential, let us look at some examples.

Biblical Examples Of People Who Trusted God In The Midst Of Chaos

Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego

Even though they did not know how all this was going to turn out, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego decided to trust God in the midst of chaos. (Daniel 6:16-18)

They determined in their hearts not to bow before a foreign god but worship the only true living God even if it meant dying.

We can also choose to be like them and trust in God in the midst of the chaos that is in the world today.

Look, just because a lot is happening does not mean that God is not faithful. The same God that saved Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego from the fiery furnace will save you from whichever furnace you’re facing right now.

The Disciples of Jesus

These men had been hanging around Jesus with the hopes of being part of His Kingdom. They had left behind their jobs and businesses to follow Jesus. But now the time had come for Jesus to fulfill his father’s will.

It must have been hard for them to see their master, their only hope of being great men in Israel being humiliated and crucified on the cross. However, they followed the advice of Jesus and remained in Jerusalem (Acts 1:4-8). On the day of Pentecost, the Holy Spirit transformed them into mighty men of God whose impact is still felt up to today.

Your circumstances may give you every reason to be troubled in your heart, but like Jesus told his disciples, you should not let your hearts be troubled. Trust God and believe that he will come through for you no matter what. Believe that he has good plans for your life.

Abraham and Sarah

They were not only old, but Sarah was barren. And yet God was telling them that they were going to have a son. To them, it sounded funny at that time that they ended up laughing at some point.

But all that did not stop them from focusing on God’s Faithfulness and not their situation. (Hebrews 11: 8-12)

The end result:

Abraham and Sarah had a son called Isaac.

Maybe you’re going through some things that seem impossible for God to turn around in the natural. But if God was able to make a barren old woman pregnant, then he will bring whatever you are asking for into fruition.

In short:

No matter how difficult the situation is, know that you serve a living God. Trust Him in the midst of the chaos and believe that he will come through for you. See this season of chaos as a time for preparation for God’s blessings.
