Love is patient and is kind. Love doesn’t envy. Love doesn’t brag, is not proud, 5 doesn’t behave itself inappropriately, doesn’t seek its own way, is not provoked, takes no account of evil; 6 doesn’t rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; – I Corinthians 13:4-6

Spiritual Thought
Love puts others first. Too often, the rat race of our culture demands our constant time and attention.
We are told that we cannot get ahead unless we focus on ourselves. But real love does the opposite. Paul writes that love is patient and kind and is not puffed up. You cannot have this servant kind of love in your heart without meeting the needs of others.
If you keep focusing on yourself and your own agenda, God’s love will never win the day. The key to demonstrating the great love God has for our world is to stop putting yourself first. Think about others before yourself.
Honor the Lord by honoring others, and you will see the beauty of God’s love shine brightly in your world.
Remember, love is not easily angered. Love keeps no record of wrongs, so forgive and forget and you will see the love God has demonstrated to all of us.
Prayer
I pray that I can make a difference in this world by filling my life with your love. Help me to be selfless and serve others in love. Help me to be patient and kind towards everyone I come in contact me and that you may reflect through my actions of love. In the mighty name of Jesus I pray.
