Verse of the Day Psalm 46:1

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.  Psalm 46:1

Psalm 46:1

Spiritual Thought

Since the beginning of time, humans have been seeking refuge from the troubles of life in God. In Psalm 46:1, this hope is personified in the form of a very present help.

The most important thing to remember when you feel like giving up is that God is always with you. He will never leave you nor forsake you.

He also never gives up on you, no matter what. The cross of Calvary is the evidence of that.

So the next time you feel like giving up, remember that God won't let you down. He doesn’t want us to give up.

The circumstances in your life may look impossible to overcome but just call on the Lord and trust Him.

No matter how dire a situation may be, with God on our side we have nothing to fear. He will offer us shelter as well as strength to get through it.

He is our ever present help.

He has it all under control.

Prayer

Lord I give you the praise because I know that your Word is true. Thank You for being the rock that I can lean on when I'm feeling weak, and thank you for giving me the strength to keep moving forward.

Help me to keep my eyes fixed on you and that no matter what comes my way I stand firm upon your Word.

Fill my heart with peace in the midst of my storm, deliver me from evil and all that comes against me. In the name of Jesus.
