Are you truly happy? Can you genuinely say that you are living a life that is full of contentment and enjoyment?

Well, we were not created to be gloomy or to let life pass us by

God created us to enjoy life, and we can be happy despite the challenges we go through daily as Christians.

Many people base their happiness on temporary things. We think that we will only be happy when we have certain things in our lives. But basing your happiness in the things of this world means that you will be happy temporarily because things keep changing.

What makes you happy today may not work tomorrow.

If you are letting good moments pass you by here are ways you can be happier:

Let God be your Source of Happiness

The only real source of happiness is God, and since he never changes your happiness will be based on a solid foundation. (Psalms 37:4)

Honestly, most Christians think that God wants them to be holy but not happy. That is why some of them claim to be full of joy, but you will never see them smiling. It is okay to be happy; it doesn't make someone less spiritual.

God cares about you, and he wants you to be full of joy and happiness. Allow God to be your source of happiness, and you will always be happy even when things are working against you.

Reflect on your Blessings

Think about the times God came through for you.

You didn’t deserve it, but God came through. Meditate on God's goodness and how he has been there for you. You'll become grateful and happier.

Put the Past Behind you

Is your past blocking you from moving forward?

Do you find yourself thinking about your past mistakes and the wrong things people have done to you?

Well, you can choose to forget the past because it will block you from moving forward. You are now a new creation, and you need to start living like one. When you leave the past behind and focus on what God has planned, you become happier.(Phillipians 3:13)

Take Good Care of Yourself

Ever take a break from your busy schedule? What do you watch on TV or listen to on the radio? Which kind of people do you surround yourself with?

We need to take care of ourselves because we are temples of God.

Stop feeding your body with junk only, do some exercises, be careful of what you watch because our eyes are the light of our bodies. Surround yourself with people who build you up, not those that tear you down and life will become more enjoyable.

Serve Others

Some people only think about themselves, and even when they serve others, it is because they have ulterior motives.

Now, Imagine yourself making a difference in people's lives.

Sounds great, right?

Well go out and be the sources of inspiration to others. (Hebrews 6:10)

And the best part:

You will become thankful and very happy because people lives will be transformed, and others will come to know and serve God because you positively touched their lives.

Remember, happiness is a choice, so always choose to be happy.
